Module 0: Go Language Basics (NEW · +22% salary premium)
Q4 2026 · NEW GAP · Senior-tier standard
Why Go first: Q4 2026 market research found Go now commands a +22% salary premium at senior tier (Anthropic, Mistral AI, Cohere, Modal all require it for AI/Lab architect seats). K8s itself, Terraform providers, and most CNCF tools are written in Go. Learning Go before CKA means you can read K8s source, write operators, and pass the Go-coded CKA exam questions faster. Take this in parallel with Module 1 prep.
The single highest-impact cert for the DevOps Platform Engineer tier. 100% of live postings require k8s production experience. The exam is a 2-hour hands-on lab — you actually run kubectl commands against a live cluster.
The de-facto standard for IaC. Take this right after CKA so your k8s cluster can be Terraform-managed. 1-hour multiple-choice exam. Much shorter prep than CKA.
The cloud cert that moves offers. Prereq recommended: AWS SAA-C03 (Associate). Skip SAA only if you already have hands-on AWS work. 3-hour exam with scenario-based questions.
